it really doesn't feel like i'm 18. there's no sudden realization that i can drink, drive, watch M18 movies legally. no sudden feeling of responsibility that being considered almost a full adult should bring. it doesn't seem that big a deal compared to my 16th birthday. i wonder why.

so anyway, birthday week was quite sucky. fell sick after dance night and still had to cram for h3 final exam. i had only that one week to get down to studying h3, which now i think back, was quite a big risk i took. after all, that final exam's effectively my A' levels. we'll only know how well we did for it next year when we get back A' level results. what the pongs. 9 months of torture. that said, i never regretted committing to dance night 2008 because, tiring as it was to juggle h3 and dance pracs, i truly did love those rehearsals. sort of. and dance night itself was a blast!!! (= couldn't have had a better way to end it all. felt a bit emo the day immediately after though.

yup. so no more dance pracs. no more external h3 in the evenings. i'm finally free. and free for what? free to finally get down to studying. hahaha sad life. i never thought i'd say this, but i'm actually relieved to be able to start planning my study schedule, to start contemplating serious mugging. before dance night, before h3 exam, i couldn't even bring myself to think about all the tutorials i haven't started, all the assignments my math teacher never got to mark because i haven't even looked at them, all the concepts i was supposed to already have mastered thoroughly but don't even know about yet. not to mention study plans for SATS in june. i really was panicking because at the back of my mind there was this vague knowledge that there were loads of stuff i had to do, but i didn't have the energy to list them all out.

today i handed in my first math assignment for the term. hahaha it's not bad, considering desmond sounded a bit anxious when he realized i'd completed the assignment. so maybe i'm not the only one lagging. and only today ms wang bothered to call on me to answer questions during math, because my math tutorial is finally in a presentable state. the teachers do know that we're kind of lost to them the week before a concert or our h3 exam. ^^"

hot guys in vienna! hahaha this was taken when we visited a school in vienna.

Stephansdom (Stephan's cathedral) in vienna. this will be one sight i will never ever forget. the first time we saw this cathedral was at night, and it was so beautiful, so ethereal that i thought i was hallucinating. took me 10 seconds to realize it was a real cathedral and then my jaw dropped. in germany, i already saw many churches that really made me want to cry, but this one beat them all. the pic doesn't do it justice, by the way. it's one thing you have to see for yourself to believe.
