XOXO <3 okok final group photo. ok gotta go sleep. gp common test tmr. crap. ciao.it really doesn't feel like i'm 18. there's no sudden realization that i can drink, drive, watch M18 movies legally. no sudden feeling of responsibility that being considered almost a full adult should bring. it doesn't seem that big a deal compared to my 16th birthday. i wonder why.
so anyway, birthday week was quite sucky. fell sick after dance night and still had to cram for h3 final exam. i had only that one week to get down to studying h3, which now i think back, was quite a big risk i took. after all, that final exam's effectively my A' levels. we'll only know how well we did for it next year when we get back A' level results. what the pongs. 9 months of torture. that said, i never regretted committing to dance night 2008 because, tiring as it was to juggle h3 and dance pracs, i truly did love those rehearsals. sort of. and dance night itself was a blast!!! (= couldn't have had a better way to end it all. felt a bit emo the day immediately after though.yup. so no more dance pracs. no more external h3 in the evenings. i'm finally free. and free for what? free to finally get down to studying. hahaha sad life. i never thought i'd say this, but i'm actually relieved to be able to start planning my study schedule, to start contemplating serious mugging. before dance night, before h3 exam, i couldn't even bring myself to think about all the tutorials i haven't started, all the assignments my math teacher never got to mark because i haven't even looked at them, all the concepts i was supposed to already have mastered thoroughly but don't even know about yet. not to mention study plans for SATS in june. i really was panicking because at the back of my mind there was this vague knowledge that there were loads of stuff i had to do, but i didn't have the energy to list them all out. today i handed in my first math assignment for the term. hahaha it's not bad, considering desmond sounded a bit anxious when he realized i'd completed the assignment. so maybe i'm not the only one lagging. and only today ms wang bothered to call on me to answer questions during math, because my math tutorial is finally in a presentable state. the teachers do know that we're kind of lost to them the week before a concert or our h3 exam. ^^" ok lazy to write already. pics.04.jpg)

Stephansdom (Stephan's cathedral) in vienna. this will be one sight i will never ever forget. the first time we saw this cathedral was at night, and it was so beautiful, so ethereal that i thought i was hallucinating. took me 10 seconds to realize it was a real cathedral and then my jaw dropped. in germany, i already saw many churches that really made me want to cry, but this one beat them all. the pic doesn't do it justice, by the way. it's one thing you have to see for yourself to believe.

sorry darlings (assuming anyone still reads my blog)! been 8 months since i last posted. is that a record? knowing my blogging frequency, i wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't the longest i've gone without a post. ^^"
so, our trip to germany and vienna last november was great, as fun as the stay in frankenberg a few years ago, i'd say. this time, it was almost like backpacking. we basically found our way around the cities (munich and vienna) mostly on our own, taking public transport and reading maps and everything. frau schraudolph rocks. she gave suggestions on where we should go, but she usually just let us go off on our own to wherever we wanted. omg it's beautiful in winter. there are so many sights i won't forget. neuschwanstein, winter sonata lane, christkindlmarkt etc. i'll blog more about it when i have time (read: after A' levels).
tomorrow's dance night. my last dance concert.
even while i know i'll feel relieved when it's all over on saturday night, because there are so many things i've been neglecting and can finally get down to doing them, i'm also a bit sad. dance is tiring and i'm not uber-uber-pro at it, and there are times when it gets stressful especially during concerts, but it just struck me that i really do love dancing after all.
i love the stage, because when it comes to making a performer high, nothing beats colourful glaring stage lights and a live audience, not to mention hearing the familiar music that you've been practising to for how many months, so much so that your every muscle knows the next beat, and you're almost beginning to get sick of the soundtrack, but suddenly it sounds a zillion times better when you're finally performing to it. ok i don't know if i'm making sense, but those are gonna be the things i'll miss about dancing.
the thing is, there is no way you can feel bad when you dance. so keep on dancing, folks. like there's no tomorrow.

(= me and kathrin, my host at the german european school. that's all for now, darlings! i keep sneezing onto the poor keyboard, so i'd better get away before it catches the flu from me. tata.i'm sick! this flu just popped out of nowhere and it had to come just when i really shouldn't be feeling sleepy. the mountain of tissue paper beside me is growing but there's no point in clearing it because once i cart it over to the bin, a new one will start growing. and the tea i drank might as well have been water.
oh well. guess this is the price to pay for coming home late every night. been mugging out for the whole week, so today's the first day i'm mugging at home. stupid flu.
i'll talk about teacher's day, cip on saturday, german school etc. (and maybe, just maybe, class adventure camp) another day. for now, let the pics do the talking..jpg)

anyway, i think i really need to re-design the blog. most of the links are kind of stale too.
today is national day! had our national day celebrations on tuesday night. turned out to be kind of a cool idea, because that's the first time the whole school stayed back until so late, and it was quite fun. like take 5. so anyway, after school on tuesday, we were deciding where to spend the afternoon before coming back for national day celebrations. at first, i suggested going to watch the simpsons and hui min and joshua were all for it. but then chin yang was devastated because he wanted the class to go to his house, so in the end they went. only me and hui zhen and grace refused to go, so we started thinking of what to do for the rest of the afternoon. couldn't go pool because we were in uniform. didn't go walk around orchard because hui zhen say too far away. didn't go play volleyball because i didn't want to. couldn't go ride on hui zhen's friend's bike because he could only come at 5.30. in the end, grace remembered that you can watch movie for only 5 bucks at eng wah jubilee, so we checked timing for the simpsons and just decided to go for the 4.00 show. we still had some time to stone, so we went to the art room to watch hui zhen make her mask for art class. oh, i was telling grace about the cheesy pick-up line: you make my software turn into hardware. and then hui zhen went to add another line to it: i want to install my program in you. which is totally sick, but you have to agree it's quite smart! (=then after that when we set off for eng wah jubilee, we dragged hui zhen's art friend along too. when we got there, we found out the 5 bucks only applied to shows before noon, and tickets after 12pm cost $6.50. \= it's still very worth it if you're watching the show for the first time, but hui zhen and her friend already watched the simpsons before and they didn't wanna waste so much money for a show they'd already seen, so they went to play pool and only me and grace watched. omg simpsons was damn funny! i so have to watch it again. and it isn't only like retarded no-brains funny. there were some spoofs and references too.
haha then after we got back to school, hui min was kind of regretting not going with us because we arrived back quite early. the "believe it or not" booths were almost closing already though, so i didn't get to try. \= we got food from the stalls and ate a bit, then it was time to move to the stadium for the national day concert.we were lucky enough to spot a space on the track right in front of the field, so we squeezed in there and sat down. which was really great! because we were almost right in front of the stage and got the full effects. and i don't care if it's corny, i still enjoy cheering and waving mini flags and singing national day songs with friends during national day celebrations. celebrations are funner at night too.oh oh, and wen jun was seriously priceless as mr. singapore. he was like, "i love MR! but i love all of you too! i love RJC! i love Singapore!" something along those lines. he was totally being himself. but anyway, BW tied with BB for the house champion in the end! xDit's a bit sad because this will probably be the last big celebration in the school for this year. there will be celebrations for teacher's day too, but most likely not as big because promos are coming.then yesterday i went for dance prac in the morning. it sucked having to wake up so early on a school holiday, but prac was quite fun and besides i got a bit of a workout from it. after that i went kbox! haven't gone for a long time. dunno why yesterday kbox suddenly decided to extend klunch for 1 more hour, until 3pm. so it was me and xuewei and dawn at klunch and we started spamming past year national day songs and jay chou songs and jj lin songs. joey came for a while then left early.normally when we go for klunch, after our time is up, we'll stay and continue singing for half an hour more before our conscience gets the better of us. and kbox usually won't chase us out unless they really need the room for the next customer. but yesterday, at exactly 3pm, we couldn't play any more songs that we wanted! we were like wth, because there were still a few songs we wanted to sing. so we decided to just stay and continue singing the songs left on the list that we ordered. FROM MEMORY.WITHOUT ANY MUSIC. hahaha which was super retarded and crazy, but i mean, this is us i'm talking about! xuewei and dawn and me. if anna could make it for klunch, she would have been as crazy as us too. haha omg i really love my friends.so yea we started singing songs from memory, but though we are intelligent people, we obviously couldn't remember all the lyrics to songs we haven't sung for ages, so there were a lot of parts where we just went "du du du da da da". thank goodness no one heard us. after we had gone through the songs on the list, we went on to singing past year national day songs that we weren't able to find on the kbox list of songs, like "one singapore" and "we are singapore". hehehe even crazier. then in our final act of reluctance to get our butts off the sofa in the kbox room, we turned up the microphone volumes and pressed xuewei's mp3 earpieces to the mike so we could all hear the songs on her mp3 and sing along with it.that's about it for this week. a lot of stuff happened since my last entry. there was umm a class gathering. ^^" dunno if you can call it a class thing since only like 6 or 7 turned up. sort of a celebration after common tests. then the jap girls came on an exchange program. there was a really pretty one called sumire, who was jon yee's guest, so people were asking him "so, how was last night after sumire arrived?" and then he was like "oooh, very fun." then during a math tutorial, ms wang asked desmond, "desmond, your guest looks very tired. what did you do last night?" and the whole class started oohing and ahhing.oh, and we went to queue overnight for harry potter at borders! me, xuewei, benjamin, dawn, ge, li ping, elena, yihui. chin yang came to queue with us but didn't buy the book. we were like way in front, among the first 20. hahaha i'll just try to recount some dialogues and situations when we were queueing.[Dialogue 1]while me and xuewei were queueing, chin yang was buying dinner for us, so i asked him to help me buy lip gloss as well. communicated with him by phone to tell him where and how to buy it.me: it's at wisma atria, basement 1.chin yang: what's the shop's name?me: Sasa.chin yang: what the hell is that?!?!me: it's spelt S-A-S-A.chin yang: what kind of a shop name is that? never heard before. ok i'll just walk around basement 1 and call out the names of the shops as i pass them. blah blah blah forever 21.me: ok you're at forever 21 now right? and there's a breadtalk beside you right? it's on the other side of breadtalk.chin yang: ok i go round to the other side. blah blah blah the face shop blah blah blah. there's no Sasa.me: huh? cannot be! wait i check my card. omg it's at level 1!!!chin yang: lalala.me: hehe sorry can you go up 1 level and find it?chin yang: ok i see the shop. what are you looking for?me: the brand of this lip gloss is called SPLASH.chin yang: huh?! what's that? FLASH?me: S-P-L-A-S-H. you know, as in, "splash of water".chin yang: err...me: go ask the salesgirl.salesgirl: you're looking for L.A SPLASH is it? yes i'm back! but not for long. can't be bothered to re-design the blog at this moment and in any case, no one comes to this blog anymore anyway.

shucks where to start. i dunno. guess i can say rj hasn't been what i expected. i thought it would be boring, but these 3 months have been really fun. first, my OG. right now only the same few people - angel, fan fan, sean, ashley, gloria, deshawn and me - come to our L'odge every morning. the rest come only occasionally, so we are kinda like disbanded. arghh what happened to our OG?! but L'ooooooong still rocks anyway. we are the only OG who will wear pink pyjamas on Orientation Night. xD
and of course, my class! 08S06R ROCKS! seriously. it's a class who will lug all your heavy bags with them up to the next class when you take too long in the toilet. it's a class where at least half of the people will buy tickets to see a non-RJ concert, just to support their classmate, though she only played 3 songs during the whole course of the concert. it's a class with people who sincerely care for you and will never ever talk about you behind their backs. 6Rojak is that kind of class, and I'm thinking, no one will ever get such a nice class again.

i'm in the mood for shout-outs! there are so many people i wanna say stuff to, so i guess i'll just do a few first for this entry. more will come in my next entry!
JOSHUA! i really can't tell you how very glad i am that we're in the same class. i've known you for 2 years already! how cool is that! anyway, you've been one of the truest friends i've had for the 2 years i've known you. i know you're someone i can always depend on (not to remember stuff, that is. xD). i guess right now in 6R, you're the one who knows me best, and one of the people who i can talk about virtually everything to. thanks for putting up with all my whining, my teasing (you're a really pro guy, but most of the time you seem so hopelessly blur i can't help laughing. hehe hope you don't mind), for always helping to carry my heavy bags, for walking with me to 3rd lang and walking with me back to the mrt station (that long road will be so scary if you're not walking with me), for just being there and all the little little things.HDGDL! es ist wirklich schön, einen Freund wie dich zu haben.
HUI ZHEN! when i first saw you, i thought you'd be really pai and i must admit, i was quite wary of you. but since dunno when, we started doing everything together and now you're my best gal buddy in 6R! school just wouldn't be the same without you. i'm so glad you got into RJ! hahaha it's been one hell of a term with you. exchanging our uniforms (ours was the coolest because few other pairs did a nanyang-rg uniform switch like us. xD), crashing hwa chong, sitting at the "happening" table and gossiping, crashing ye wei's house and all the other fun stuff we did that will take too much time to list out. hope we'll always remain as close as we are now!

FAM!!!
for us, it actually started at 1-plus. me, cola, dawn, shaway, elena, anna, li hsia, grace, joey, leanne and zhiying had our hair and makeup done at a salon at far east. and even though we started at 1-plus and with cola's mum ferrying us from place to place, we were almost late for fam. anyway, i had pink hair! coolioz right? xD
FAM was fun. and worth all the trouble we took to prepare for it. it'd take too long to go into all the details, so the main things (and random things too) that happened at FAM:
after FAM, we stayed over at panpac. me, elena, anna, leanne, grace and cola had the bigger room to ourselves while joey, ge, xuewei, ems and zhiying were in the other room. but after a while, ems came over and stayed in our room all the way til morning. then after we checked in, we changed out of our prom dress but left our hair on and went to 7-eleven's at marina square across the road. a few taxi drivers were shouting at us because they thought we were hookers. ><" after that, we removed makeup and bathed and chatted abit and i slept for like 2 plus hours. in the morning, we went to suntec city to eat prata. that's about it.

i should go on and talk about ECF, but i'm tired of blogging and it feels weird because i haven't blogged for such a long time. i'd rather talk about it in a convo with someone. anyone. but i don't think anyone will ask me about it because most of us were involved anyway.
but ECF rocked! really rocked. i love bollywood/horror dancers. <3<3<3 bollywood was fun, but i liked horror most of all! the scary gothic makeup (except i think i was the only one with really gothic makeup. the others were more like scary, i-have-been-dead-for-3-years makeup), the victorian lacy horrible costumes we had to put on, and the uber-cool dance steps (though bib's head will swell even more if she hears still more compliments about her choreography).
and it has like the best entrance in the whole show. i was hanging upside down over the gallery and i think it was really quite scary because the people below me jumped and gasped and the gasps started spreading down the rows. they weren't supposed to discover us hanging over the gallery so soon, but the effect was pretty good anyway. xD it's actually quite fun to scare people. hehh.
i'll really miss ECF and the crazy bunch of people in it. \=
